About Joan Herlong
Joan Herlong has been selling real estate in the Upstate of South Carolina for over 30 years, always full time. She was the top producer for the largest realty firm in the area when she decided to go out on her own, as an independent brokerage in 2011. A year after going solo, she had become the number one agent by sales volume in the Greater Greenville Area - and still is for the past ten years trailing. In 2017, she had 10 agents when she accepted the invitation to join Sotheby’s International Realty.
Today, she is the owner and CEO of Herlong Sotheby’s International Realty, with about 50 agents, and counting. They have two offices: in Greenville and in Clemson, covering the entire Upstate. Her firm is also the ONLY Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate in the Upstate, covering eight counties. She’s also a published author: in 2023 Forbes published AS IS, An Insider’s Guide to Real Estate, which has been a best seller in Amazon’s real estate category, which has led to several speaking engagements within the Sotheby’s network. Her company’s mission statement: Honor, Advocacy & Expertise. Their motto: Do the Right Thing, Even When No One is Looking.
